I’ve always been a bit of a girly-girl! I love things that sparkle and I still prefer the color pink to all other options. So when my beautiful baby girl entered the world (in addition to my two older boys), I was excited to splurge on as many ruffles as I could find. Never once, did I imagine that I would be able to “girly up” even her bathtime experience. I knew bathtime would be the best time for bonding, so I really wanted a tub that would treat her to the most relaxing experience imaginable but I thought, “hey, a tub’s a tub, right?” That’s when I found the Summer Infant Lil’ Luxuries Whirlpool, Bubbling Spa & Shower and knew that bath time (my favorite time!) could come with a variety of possibilities for luxury all in one great product. Let’s take a look at what you get with the tub:
Design
There was definitely some innovation that went into the process of creating the tub. It’s just like a big whirlpool tub that you would find at a fancy hotel, but packed into one small product for a small, little person. There is a shower nozzle that makes rinsing a total breeze and the spray is gentle enough not to hurt a newborn. There’s also a great whirlpool feature (the tub swirls the water itself!) but there is also an option for Jacuzzi bubbles as well. I couldn’t be happier with the bathing pad, it’s, first of all, in a wonderful pattern, but it’s also so comfy. We’ve tried other bathtubs that didn’t come with a newborn bather and we are very happy to have one this time around. The product is also quite sturdy but not as heavy as you would think by looking at the picture. And there’s a double wall tub design that makes the product quite roomy. It’s also stunning to look at and always raises questions from all of my visitors about the quality. In fact, it comes in 4 colors: pink, violet, blue and green.
Variety and longevity
One of the best parts about the tub, is that it can be used in so many different ways. First, with the newborn bathing insert, second with the Jacuzzi function in the normal tub and lastly, you can remove the shower/whirlpool combination so baby will have more legroom as she grows. You can also continue to use the shower head once it is removed from the small tub to the big tub. Having a shower faucet to rinse is more than a dream come true when rinsing the shampoo out of baby’s hair. This tub can definitely take you from the newborn phase until baby is big enough to play in the big tub.
We love to use the tub right before bedtime. I honestly believe the tiny whirlpools give her a full body massage that she wouldn’t otherwise receive. In my experience, it definitely helps lull her to sleep. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. The whirlpool tub and the luxury features make this tub incredible.
