With an upcoming trip to visit my sister in another state, I knew I wanted a travel bed that would serve as a familiar place for my son to snuggle. As soon as he nestled in for the first time, it was love at first sleep.
The LulyBoo Baby Lounge to Go is an extremely accommodating and convenient product overall and here’s why:
Assembly
The manual was easy to follow with great illustrations. The only item that required assembly was the canopy and the plush toys that hang from it. Both were nearly effortless to assemble and only took around five minutes to complete. Once together, the travel bed provides an ample amount of space for baby to nap or play.
Storage
When open, the travel bed is 34″W by 24″L by 6″H. So it can, without a doubt, fit into the trunk of our car. When we are not using the bed, we simply place it in a small closet for storage.
Style
Aesthetically, it is very satisfying and comes in five easy-to-please colors. No matter your style, from girly pink to classic brown to green swirl, you will find the perfect one for your babe. The lounge includes a removable canopy that provides a good amount of protection from any unwanted light or sun. My baby particularly enjoyed looking at and reaching up for the two small plush toys (his favorite part)!
Care
The quality is durable and long lasting with the proper care. It is made from a soft, gentle fabric and has a firm pad to protect baby as he dozes. The fabric is removable and the manufacturer recommends washing the removable cover by machine in cold water. The travel bed is also very easy to spot clean if necessary.
Use
The lounge is best suited for babies 6 months or less and can be used inside or outside the home. The website recommends use up to 15 pounds or until baby begins to push up to a seated position. The product is intended for one baby only. The bed doesn’t come with any extra support and doesn’t accommodate multiples.
Travel
What a dream to travel with! The bed is a collapsible lounge that can convert into a backpack that makes for easy moving and traveling. For our trip out of state, we simply put the bed in our carry-on bag. When folded it does fit into the trunk of a car leaving much room to spare. The toy bar, the canopy and the two small plush toys all have to be removed to fold it closed. The good news? It takes both hands and only four easy-to-follow steps to close it. If I could change one thing, it would be to make the handle (used to carry the lounge when it is folded) out of a more durable material.
