Our Core Team

Meagan Lucas, Editor in Chief

Meagan comes to Pregnancy & Newborn with a decade as a Writing Professor and an extensive background in editing and publishing. She is the author of the Anthony nominated collection Here in the Dark and the award-winning novel, Songbirds and Stray Dogs. She is also the Editor in Chief of Reckon Review. Mumma to Brodie (13) and Redding (11), she lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina with her kids, husband, and pug, Flint.

Ashley Ziegler, Senior Editor

Ashley Ziegler has nearly a decade of writing and editing experience, with a primary focus in all things parenting. Her work has appeared on websites including Romper, The Bump, Verywell Family, Parents, Health, Shape, Byrdie, Verywell Mind, and more. Ashley lives in North Carolina with her husband, Spencer, and their two daughters, Eva (6) and Indy (3), and she’s happiest when her house is filled with the smell of fall-scented candles.

Serena Dorman, Social Media Manager

Serena is an internet funny mom and parenting humor book author who draws from her experience as a content creator, writer, content creator, and social media manager to bring brand awareness to Pregnancy & Newborn Magazine. She has dedicated the last 7+ years to garnering internet lol’s as Mommy Cusses and has created content for/been featured by Scary Mommy, Mommyish, Netflix Family, and other popular parenting websites. Offline, she can be seen watching her kids (11 & 4) “do this!” for the 3,000th time and playing “would you still love me if…” with her husband of 17 years.

Lauren Lisle, Contributor

Lauren has contributed to Pregnancy & Newborn since 2017, covering a scope of pregnancy and parenting topics while simultaneously experiencing pregnancy and early motherhood. As a busy mom to four young kiddos, she feels a deep sense of solidarity with everything she writes. Lauren enjoys life in the Peach State with her husband, Matthew, and her mini sources of inspiration: Bellamy, Navy, Romy, and youngest son, Ashley.
