Baby Einstein Neighborhood Symphony Jumper
My 7-month-old son is so interested in new toys at this stage, so I couldn’t wait to let him try out his new Baby Einstein Neighborhood Symphony Jumper.
At first I thought I would need my husband to help me assemble it because I am not always the best with this sort of thing, but the bouncer was so simple to put together. The instruction manual includes important safety information, and the assembly instructions are clear and easy illustrations to follow. It took me less than 30 minutes to put it all together. The only tool required was a small screwdriver to open the battery compartment for the removable drum station.
I have looked at other activity centers from big brands (like the fisher-price jumperoo and skip hop’s activity center), and I am very happy with the size of this one. It is a little smaller and doesn’t take up too much space in our small city condo. However, it still has plenty of different activities for my son to enjoy. The jumper is also very light at 7 pounds, so it moves easily from room to room. I wouldn’t recommend it for travel, because it isn’t the easiest to take apart, but it’s the perfect baby bouncer for use in your living room, bedroom or nursery.
I love the bright colors of the jumper, and my son does, too. He loves to look at all the different toy stations and grab for the objects. It is very aesthetically appealing and comes in a gender-neutral primary color scheme. The quality of the jumper is great and all of the parts are easy to wipe clean, including the machine-washable seat pad (which is nice for all of the drool and spit up that comes with a little one).
Another feature I love about the Baby Einstein Neighborhood Symphony Jumper is its adjustable seat with differing height settings. Height adjustments can be easily made as baby gets taller to accommodate growth and make room to stretch out his or her legs.
My son loves all of the activities and different parts to play with. He really enjoys the drum toy, which includes lights, sounds, classical music and language discovery in English, Spanish (which my husband speaks—perfect!) and French. (Note that you will need three AA batteries for this product.) The drum toy is also removable, so when he is playing on his play mat, I will take that off and let him use it on the floor as well. The hanging mirror is another favorite of his. In total, there are more than 15 activities to entertain your baby. I’ve come to find out that replacement parts for the activities are hard to come by, so keep that in mind! (If you do want to try you luck locating spare toys, you’ll need to contact Kids II Inc customer service for help. Have your model number and manufacture date code handy!)
I like that the seat on the jumper spins around, so your baby can move to whatever side of the entertainer he or she wants. The Baby Einstein Neighborhood Symphony Jumper has toys that are at his arm/chest level and also that are hanging. I like this feature as he always has something new to look at and discover. As plenty of customer reviews have stated, this jumper will definitely keep your little one busy and happy.
The activity jumper gives clear safety instructions such as using the jumper only if the child can sit up unattended, is at least 6 months of age, is less than 25 pounds and less than 30 inches long. If I could change anything about the product, I would create a way that it could fold up compactly and be more travel-friendly. Other than that, I love this jumper and am getting quite a bit of use out of it. It’s available at a comparable price to other jumpers on the market, and it’s nice to have a fun, educational product that my baby enjoys.
