Arm's Reach The Mini Convertible Co-Sleeper Bassinet

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the safest place for baby to sleep is in a separate crib or bassinet in the same room where his caregiver sleeps. Having baby within easy reach throughout the night facilitates breastfeeding, promotes bonding and reduces baby’s risk of SIDS—all of which are good things and all of which made me look forward to reviewing the Arm’s Reach Mini Convertible Co-Sleeper Bassinet.
This Co-Sleeper Brand Bassinet is a great remedy for nighttime anxieties. It allows baby to be close enough to hear him breathe and reach out to him easily, but also ensures he’s away from loose blankets and not taking up space in the bed. It can be attached directly onto the side of the bed, without any gaps and at the same level as my mattress, so I don’t have to lift baby out during the night—I can just slide him over for feeding and then slide him back for more sleep.
Assembly did take more time than I anticipated, and it’s heavier than you might expect (25 pounds), but it’s a smart, compact product for everyday use. Depending on the height of your bed, you may or may not need leg extensions. It’s important that the Co-Sleeper Brand Bassinet fit properly to maintain its integrity as a safe sleeping device, so measure your bed prior to purchasing so you can fill your cart with the appropriate equipment.
The Mini Convertible package includes a carry bag and fitted sheet. (Additional sheets can be purchased separately.) The upholstery is a nice quality and the overall appearance of the Mini Convertible is pleasant. It has wheels on one end for easy transport and two side pockets for keeping diapers, spare PJs and other necessities close by. A ventilated floor helps avoid heat build-up.
Although I’ve used the Mini Convertible Co-Sleeper Bassinet primarily as just that, it also functions as a freestanding bassinet and play yard. This is a nice feature that extends its life span, as I know we’ll use it as a travel bed long after our days of co-sleeping have come to an end.
Recommended from birth to 30 pounds as a sleep station, and to 50 pounds as a play yard.
