I’ll admit it: I have an addiction.
DwellStudioHudsonToteLuckily, it’s just a fairly innocent addiction to bags, which doesn’t really negatively affect anyone (unless you count my husband, who typically funds my indulgences). My closet is overflowing with every kind of bag you can imagine, from tiny cute clutches to everything-but-the-kitchen sink diaper totes. However, what I’m most often searching for is a good basic bag—one that holds all my daily gear without weighing me down and goes with everything (because seriously, what mom has time to change her bag every day?). This perfect carryall has been surprisingly hard to find, but when I saw DwellStudio’s new Hudson Tote, I suspected that I might have found a winner. And after a few days of hauling it around, I knew I was right!
First off, anything that comes from DwellStudio is guaranteed to be nice and well made. I love every single thing they offer, from their bedding to their baby toys, so I’m not surprised that they solved my perfect basic bag dilemma. The Hudson tote is a big—but not too big—diaper bag in chic, solid color options (I tried out the charcoal, and they also offer navy, pumpkin and chocolate). The bag itself is made from nylon, meaning it’s easy to wipe clean, and the trim is leather. The interior is lined in DwellStudio’s chocolate dots fabric, which just happens to be one of my favorites, and the light coloring makes it easy to see inside when you’re looking for something in particular—essential when you can’t afford to put your day on hold to dig around inside your bag. The pockets are nicely sized and there are enough to keep you organized without overdoing it. There are also two different strap options, so you can go with the double handles or attach the heavy-duty shoulder strap when you need your hands to keep your kids out of traffic.
Overall, I have to say that the Hudson tote is my new favorite bag. It looks nice enough for work but can still hold its own at playgroup, and it’s sturdy enough to be put to use for a long time.
